Getting started with moodboom
What is moodboom?
moodboom is an app to create or join an event, invite guests, live the moment together through the Live and keep the memories of it.
Is moodboom free?
Yes. The Free plan lets you join and take part in unlimited events for free, and create your own events with some limits. Plus and Pro let you go further.
Do I need an account to join an event?
Yes. After downloading the app you create your account, then join the event you were invited to directly.
How do I join an event?
Open the invitation link you received or scan the QR code of the event. moodboom then takes you to that event.
How do I create an event?
In the app, add an image, a title, a place, a date and a time. You can then share your event by link or QR code.
Creating and living an event
Are my events public?
Not by default. Your events are not listed in a public catalogue. You choose where you share the link or QR code, and therefore who can join.
Can I use a QR code on a poster or an invitation?
Yes. The QR code can be shared digitally or printed. Anyone who scans it can go through the flow to join the event.
How do I answer an invitation?
From the event you can answer Yes, Maybe or No, and change your answer afterwards.
What is the Live?
When the event starts it switches to Live mode. Guests can then share photos and videos, comment, react to content and check the practical info.
Who can post photos and videos?
Guests of the event can contribute to the Live according to the rules set for that event.
What happens when the event is over?
The Live closes. The shared content becomes the memory of the event, with the photos, videos and moments kept for later.
Can I find my memories later?
Yes. The memories you save are available from your profile, within the limits of your Free, Plus or Pro plan.
Premium and privacy
What is the difference between Free, Plus and Pro?
Free lets you start and take part. Plus removes the main limits of private use for CHF 3 per month. Pro, at CHF 49 per month per organisation, adds features for associations, companies and structured organizers.
Why does moodboom offer subscriptions?
Subscriptions fund the development and the advanced use of moodboom. They let us build a business model without advertising and without selling personal data.
Is there advertising in moodboom?
No. moodboom does not fund the service by interrupting your events with ads.
Does moodboom sell my data?
No. Selling personal data is not part of moodboom's business model.
What happens to my content if I downgrade?
Content beyond the lower plan limits is archived rather than deleted. Upgrading again can make it available once more, according to the service rules.
